Larsen

la sua carriera artistica inizia nel 1989 in un piccolo club di Catania dove Antonio (non ancora Larsen …) propone i suoi djset che spaziano dalla new wave alla techno. Con l’inizio degli anni 90 si esibisce in diversi club della sua città decidendo però di proporre djset a base di house music, riconoscendone le enormi potenzialità ! Nella seconda metà degli anni 90 approda alle consolle del TAITU’ e del MARABU’ di Taormina che, in quegli anni, rappresentano i 2 club di riferimento della club culture siciliana (e non solo …) e successivamente alla consolle di AFC (di cui è tutt’oggi resident) lo Staff creatore di alcuni fra i parties ed eventi più importanti della nightlife Italiana. Le prime produzioni discografiche arrivano negli anni 00, esattamente nel 2000 il primo disco pubblicato su NoLabel che lo porta a remixare artisti anche per grandi labels internazionali come Azuli Records. Va inoltre ricordata la sua collaborazione con il format radiofonico LA NOCHE ESCABROSA, in onda prima su RADIO DEEJAY e successivamente su M2O. Nella metà degli anni 00 l’inizio del sodalizio artistico con l’amico e collega Luca Marano nato per gioco da un back2back improvvisato al Taitù nell’inverno del 2004 che, riscuotendo un’enorme successo, spinge i 2 a continuare questa collaborazione oltre che dal vivo anche in studio, realizzando così produzioni e remix per tantissime labels internazionali come OFF(Germania), TENAX(Italia), ZOO TECHNIQUE(Spagna), PAUL’S BOUTIQUE (Italia), ESCAPISM (Romania)… e molte altre. Le loro produzioni vengono molto apprezzate e, quindi, supportate dai più grandi dj del pianeta come CARL COX, PETE TONG, RICHIE HAWTIN, JOSH WINK, DJ SNEAK, MARCO CAROLA, REBOOT, BROTHER’S VIBE, LAURENT GARNIER, X-PRESS 2, GROOVE ARMADA, KAROTTE, MARKUS FIX, RALF, ALEX NERI, FEDERICO MOLINARI, PAOLO MARTINI … solo per citarne alcuni. Luca Marano

He was only twelve when, during a holiday with his parents,  he noticed a dj course’s advertisement. His infatuation with club culture forced his parents to buy his first console.

Today Luca Marano is the best known Sicilian dj. His name has circulated around the island house scene for over 10 years. Luca belongs to the artists’ generation who gives the best contribution to the island club culture in the early 90 and makes Catania, his hometown, a major centre. Luca has been galvanised by the house music scene since the early 90′s as well as a DJ since that time.

Turning his hand to a variety of styles while still maintaining a strong signature sound, Luca has created an admired musical identity and a loyal global following.

House, techno, funk and deep define his background, which then pours into his sets, which cannot be labeled in any one style of music, demonstrating that Luca is a versatile and ecletic artist, those who have a different story to tell, from time to time.

He’s a very talented artist, able to rig in any situation

His performances are really great shows, that always manage to surprise his audience. People often come under the console imploring him to play another tune. Nobody wants to go back  home when he plays.

Between 2007 and 2009 Luca edited a radio program, Electronic Pleasure, in the famous House Juice on Radio SIS.

But his first love is playing records.

Since 1999 he is a resident of AFC (Atmosphere). AFC has hosted the best international djs for years, at whose side Luca has regularly played and exchanged ideas and music. At one of these parties he met Larsen. A perfect union, born almost as a game in 2004, after a b2b improvised at the Taitù, cult and underground club of the Sicilian house scene in those years. The unexpected feeling lead them to go steady, both in djing then in the producing music. Together with his half, Luca realesed in 2007 “A18/Deviazioni” for the Ocean Dark, a debut that brought a breath of fresh air to the music scene that year.

Paolo Martini immediately recognized his talent, so decided to recruit him in the Ocean Dark, for which they produced “The Dark Side Of The Rhum” in 2008 and “Dirty thingz” in 2009. Luca gained the European scene and world record with several releases and remixes for Off, Tenax Recordings, Paul’s Boutique, Zoo:Technique , Niveous supported by djs like Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Josh Wink, Dj Sneak, Reboot, Karotte, Joris Voorn, Jamie Jones, Tania Vulcano, Federico Molinari, Markus Fix, Robert Dietz, Lauhaus, Technasia and many more.

Luca stands out among the artists of national and international house scene, with dj sets @ Weekend (Berlino), Zoo Project (Ibiza), Echoes (Riccione), Tenax (Firenze), Magazzini Generali (Milano), Kudos (Mamaia-RO), Culture Box (Copenaghen), Flex (Vienna), The End,The Egg e Aquarium (Londra), Spazio 900 (Roma), Alter Ego (Verona).

Since 2010, with Paul Martini, he’s also one of the minds of Paul’s Boutique, in the role of A&R and label manager, as well as a producer. His remix of “It’s You”,and tracks like “Oh Set Me Free”, “I’ll House U” and “Mediterranean” are among the most supported and sold tracks of the entire Paul’s Boutique’ catalog.

Filippo Sgarlata, aka DJ FILIX: Top dj in Sicilia da oltre 15 anni!

Dj storico a Taormina, resident dal 1995 al 2004 del Tout Va e del Septimo di Taormina. Attualmente resident del gruppo Atmosphere Fashion Club e Gotama&WithLove, resident del MARABU’ e TAITU’ di Giardini Naxos, VOLA – CAPANNONE di Catania, è stato partner de La Noche Escabrosa in onda su Radiodeejay e poi su M2O; ha lavorato e lavora con tutti i migliori dj del mondo; è uno dei punti di riferimento dei giovani siciliani!

Lavora e ha lavorato come Guest in tutti i migliori locali della Sicilia e in molti locali d’Italia (Guendalina di Lecce, Arenile di Napoli, Florida di Brescia, Genova Notte Bianca 2010, Akab e Baja di Roma,Vecchia Fattoria di Cosenza, Isole Eolie, ecc.).

All’estero ha suonato allo Zoo Project di Ibiza, nei migliori locali di Malta e Gozo (Axis, Numero Uno, La Grotta, Clique), in Germania al Cafè Del Sol di Dusseldorf, Penn&Diaz di Francoforte e col gruppo House Of Love in Vestfalia, ecc.

Nicky Mollica

|||Nicola Mollica (Nicky Mollica) DJ and Producer is born 1985 in Switzerland.Even as a child of 12 year he spend many afternoons with the famous “Siddartha”. One year later he met the well-known Sicilian organization “Atmosphere Fashion Club” and they started working together. It was love on the first sight.His love to the Club and the music grew endless and finally he got in touch with a turntable.Early he bought himself a turntable and started to collect vinyl.During this episode everyone was listening to d’Agostino and Albertino, but Nicky seperated from the very beginning with this commercial sound. To play hits is very easy, but to bring new stuff was a high risk at this time.Not only the music but also the style of Nicky Mollica changed. However his love to German Sound especially from Berlin never changed.Today German is a good platform for DJ’s to get well-known and produce successful records.In Nickys newest set he prefers house and techno funky beats.Now a days he is the Resident DJ by AFC and by the’Guai ai Vinti’, which organise many famous partys in Sicily. He was on the turns with popular DJ’s.Nicky started to produce. He joined his friend Andrea Minissale and they are called ‘Klang’. Actually they have a release on Drag Music, Pressure Records, Pamflet Music, Lion and are Supported and Played by Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Timo Maas, Denny Tenaglia, Nic Fanciulli, Paco Osuna, Hermanez, Laurent Garnier and many more. Pepe

He was born in Taormina in 1985, a town known as the pearl of Sicily, and since he was younger he has been loving music and what surrounds it.
During the day he works behind a computer screen, busy to day-dream about graphics and communication. In the night he always works behind a consolle next to some famous djs. Both passions come from his adolescence and he begins to frequent night-places taking an interest in the world of nightlife and trying to meet closer this world which attracts him so much.
In 2002 he becomes vocalist resident of the organizing group MASKENADA&GOTAMA;
Some years later, in 2006, he is resident of the AFC group, taking care of graphics of the parties trying to give more creativity that Sicilian clubbers like so much.

Nicola inizia la sua carriera come p.r. nel 1997.
La svolta decisiva arriva nel 1998, quasi per scherzo ad un party Atmosphere, dove prende il microfono per sbaglio cominciando a parlare ed è subito un successo!

Da li a poco Nicola lavorerà nei club più esclusivi della Sicilia e della vicina Calabria, grazie alla sinergia con Atmosphere Fashion Club/AFC, in cui ha lavorato e in cui lavora tutt’ora! da ben 7 anni!

In Sicilia è molto apprezzato dai giovani ha fatto sognare e continua a farlo migliaia di giovani clubbers, con le sue frasi assurde ma pazzesche. “LA SICILIA CHE BALLA”, (copiata ormai da tutte le altre regioni d’Italia), canzoni sdolcinate e non alle 6 del mattino sono tutti successi che la gente quando li sente lo acclama come una star. In calabria ha lavorato: maharaja’, pop club, la quiete(palmi), in Sicilia: marabù e taitù (giardini naxos), capannone (ct), grog (cl), frutto proibito (piazza armerina), Fefe’s Cantina (augusta), solito posto etc I dj’s con cui ha lavorato sono tantissimi da coccoluto, vannelli, montanari, alex neri, ralf, robbie rivera, moiraghi and many more!

Attualmente Nicola è Resident Voice di Atmosphere Fashion Club.

Stephan Pj

Stefano Pittalŕ aka Stephan pj nasce artisticamente nel 1997. Si avvicina al mondo della musica partecipando a dei party e a serate organizzate nella provincia di messina e di catania, incominciando a svilluppare il suo grande talento da DJ – Riesce a crearsi un bagaglio musicale a 360° gradi e si afferma in molti locali della provincia, riuscendosi ad esibire in locali come il Tout Va, Taitů, Marabů etc.. Nel 1999 entra a far parte dello staff della notte, piů importante del meridione “l’AFC (Atmosphere Fashion Club), esibendosi come special guest in molte serate house. nel 2008 afc premia il suo talento di dj, e adesso da resident si esibisce accanto a dj di calibro mondiale come: Danny Tenaglia, Richie Hawtin, Magda,Italoboyz,Anja shneider,Martin Eyerer,Federico Molinari,Gorge,Paul Ritch,Tiefshwartz,Satoshi TomiIe,Alex Neri,Federico Grazzini,Luca Bacchetti, Ambivalent,Ellen Allien,Onur Ozer,Ralf, etc… Il prossimo obiettivo č quello di realizzare delle produzioni musicali che riescano a far impazzire tutti i migliori dance floor del mondo. Carmelo Prato

Carmelo Prato, siciliano d’origine nasce ad Agrigento nell’ Agosto dell’ 84. Crescendo si interessa alla musica e , affascinato da questo mondo, scopre ben presto che si trattava di qualcosa di più di un semplice interesse. La sua carriera artistica inizia nel 2000 nei locali dell’ interland agrigentino ed e’ proprio da li’ che comincia la sua avventura cercando in tutti i modi di superare se stesso e migliorarsi passando anche 10 ore al giorno davanti ai suoi inseparabili technics 1210 mk5…Nel Febbraio 2009 entra a far parte di una tra le più importanti organizzazioni siciliane (ATMOSPHERE FASHION CLUB) che lo porta ad esibirsi presso i locali più’ trend della movida siciliana a fianco a dj di fama internazionale come :

Mario Impellizzeri

Class 86… .. He began to develop his interest in the profession of dj/producer since when he was 14old, starting (as like everyone) to organise private parties having however a speciality respect to all.. to perform with his dj set made almost entirely with music composed by himself with various programs to console. Its a natural evolution growing with the music to begin the interest in everything that concerns the world of the night, starting to entrance in the world of discoteques working as P.R. In 2003 joins in a big organization in sicily where many important Djs alternate weekly, getting easy way to learn different cultures and musical techniques where everything get him new inspirations to create new products… Since 2006 joined inside the exclusive We Love Sicily Staff and as resident of the club “Dome”… opens and closes every night the dancefloor to the guest in turn, all of the top names in world as: Sven Vath, Steve Lawler, Mauro Picotto, Marco Carola, Tiefschwarz, Thomas Schumacher, Oliver Huntemann, Layo & Bushwacka, Dave Seaman, Chus & Ceballos, Francesco Farfa… His live sets leave the sign about creativity and style, never usually and with particular technique. But the productions remain his main objective, his style ranges from the Berlin school to the influences Londoners, despite his young age and not long militancy on the console, Mario seems to be the new promise of dj / producer of the island… In 2007 the turning point arrives…15 tracks out well on various labels and opens with his friend Alex Spagnuolo the records label “PLASTIK BEAT Records”. Also start his collaboration with Radio Smile where he has a residence monthly on live program “Test Pressing”. in 2008 NIGHT LIFE AWARD sicily reward it as dj producer of the year .. ..

Klat

Vj Klat, pseudonimo di Fabio Pironti, ha accostato alla sua passione per la musica l’immagine, sia fotografica che in movimento. Un’immagine che, fuori dal suo contesto originario, diventa nuda. Il video accompagna la musica raggiungendo un luogo a lei parallelo. La corrispondenza tra audio e video non è statica: subiscono le stesse forme di attrazione e rallentamento, comunicando attraverso qualcosa che è simile ad un senso, il ritmo. La successione delle immagini non è sempre stabilita, così la loro apparizione acquisisce senso volta per volta. L’immagine è il risultato di una ricerca, di una scelta. E poi bisogna di nuovo immaginarla, ascoltarla, guardarla, modificarla. Muoverla nell’incontro con la musica. Il video è un collage animato e che ha un ritmo. La sinergia tra suono e immagine, audio e video si realizza nel momento del ritmo. Ballare a suon di immagine.

Vj klat ha collaborato a diversi eventi culturali in Sicilia e lavora come vj resident allo Zo di Catania, al Marabù e al Taitù di Taormina e in svariate occasioni di ritrovo. La sua partecipazione a “First” gli ha consentito di lavorare col materiale degli artisti che esponevano facendo dell’esposizione un percorso fluido, lavorando sulle foto delle singole opere e spostandole nelle varie sequenze per consentire a ognuna un luogo diverso in cui essere vista e, di conseguenza, un modo possibile in cui essere percepita.
